Great exhibits wish they had more 2 c

It's some restaurants and Cafes around outside & a food court inside,some limited fast food shops,Grap your food or drinks and sit enjoy Free Wi-Fi,Upper floor closes at 2pm.No known fast food like McDonald's,Hardee's,....Public Restrooms are available..Anyway you can rest for a quick or soft drinks while being around in downtown...

I wish they would fix the funky sewer smell that hits you at the entrance.But after you get past that, there are some real gems in there! The burrito and taco places are the best. Some other great places have come and gone but I like seeing what new pops up and trying them out.

Great deals here for food if your downtown looking for something fast and not too pricey

It was our first time there. Parking is rough and the eateries themselves took a bit of walking to find, but once we did, we found them charming and had a great time! There are many choices of types of food. We ate upstairs. Our children enjoyed both the balcony view & the ability to watch the trains go by while we ate! We look forward to going back!

Centered in the market square, it's a relaxing place to just stop enjoy a variety of foods. From Caribbean to Chinese, Indian to American, it's a great place for something quick and easy.

Hong Kong restaurant is average Chinese and in the price range of other fast food chinese places. The new Tacos Rojas is ok. Quick friendly service but the flavor was bland which I think makes it more authenic. I prefer Alejandros down the sreet but wish this place well.Clean modern restrooms, but my last visit the tabletops were nasty dirty.Im sorry the hot dog stand moved out.

They are always very helpful and grateful for you're business. Most, not all that work there greet you with a smile and the owner tries to match prices with other stop in stores.

Close to home, has all the night life needs regardless of day

Just a small food court in the middle of downtown. No chains, just small independent restaurants and 'hole in the wall' type affairs. Some bars are located outside that stay open late.They do have public bathrooms though.

Have some great food but only one of the restaurants has fountain drinks. This is a huge turnoff for me. I dont want a canned/bottle drink with my meal when I go out.

The Historical City Market Building is one of my favorite places. There are plenty of family friendly events held there, unique decor, delicious restaurants to choose from and plenty of space for last minute group get togethers. The second floor holds art shows and always welcomes last minute elementary school outings with open arms. The staff make the PUBLIC space feel like HOME.

Since the building's major interior renovation several years ago, the interior has lost its character and charm. For those looking for a more contemporary interior this is your place. Essentially equivalent to a mall food court with central area seating and the food kiosks on the perimeter. A few are empty. No chains. Basic fares such as sandwiches, Chinese, a gyro/kebab place, hot dogs, etc.

Ali Baba's Philly cheese steak is excellent!

We have a line dance class there on Tuesday nights. It's a good place to dance, but the food vendors close at 5 or 6, so we can't go in and sit down for dinner before the class starts at 6:30 unless we get downtown early. The biggest problem is the parking is horrible.

Great location in downtown Roanoke with a variety of restaurants to choose from. The inside is well lit with plenty of space, high ceilings, and a great historical feel to it. A great place to visit, especially at Christmas time. Plus, there's a vegan restaurant inside too.

It was a nice place to hang around on weekends with friends or family...lots of options available to grab a snack or a meal.

The Star City is a great place to visit, many places to eat, farmers market with wonderful vendors. Stop by and see Rudy, he has everything, personal made walking sticks and canes, and beautiful hand made jewelry and other crafts

I loved this open spacious and modern area. It was a great place to browse food options or just chill and talk. The food here (that I saw) was interesting (not a typical food court fastfood) - ranging from Carribean to Mediterranean. I think the quality of the food though was just decent. About what I would expect from a food truck. It could have been better, but it was still tasty and enjoyable.

Always good to go here to eat food. There are a variety of flavors from Mediterranean, Carribean and even local talent gaurenteed to satisfy even the pickiest taste buds

So many places to eat! However not a fan of the ones begging for food or money.

Very clean but not the warm historical feeling it once had ! I so enjoyed Kims seafood and Chico & Billy's food and the construction changed and the attitude of the vendors changed very little to no parking anymore very sad what has happened to historical downtown Roanoke

all of my relatives get married there

The last time I was here, it hadnt been renovated so the floors were slick from years of greasy cooking, smelled of all the homeless people that would sit inside all day and pee in the floor. Looks amazing now, so clean and inside looks updated and new with the same old school traditional roanoke brick appearance on the outside. If only they could do something about the homeless people coming around asking for money repeatedly as you try to eat.

Center location of downtown, several places to eat and shop

Not what is used to be. Burger in the square.Zorbas. Euro Bakery and others now gone.Many relocated and doing very well.It's very disappointing that they are no longer at the market.

Went here for a wedding. Cute place on the third floor, great space and bathrooms were very clean. Staff were professional and friendly.
